18th Inuit Studies Conference: Washington, DC  The conference entitled, "Inuit/Arctic/Connections: Lessons from the Top of the World," intends to inspire discussion about important Inuit issues and how they impact the rest of the world. The biennial conference, organized by the Arctic Studies Center at the Smithsonian Institution, serves the critical function of drawing together scholars and Inuit representatives to share research results in the fields of archaeology, anthropology, linguistics, political governance, environmental science, health, education, and culture.   http://www.mnh.si.edu/arctic/
